Stephen Warner is a law student at the University of Western Ontario with a focus on labour, employment, and human rights law. Prior to starting law school, he served in strategic communications, media relations, and issues management roles in the Ontario government. As press secretary for the Solicitor General of Ontario, he managed a variety of communications files relating to public safety, including policing, fire protection, and animal welfare. He also coordinated the media relations strategy among numerous high-profile members of the Ontario COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Task Force. Stephen also served as an Issues Manager for the Premier of Ontario, handling a variety of files related to economic development, natural resources, and the justice sector. After the 2022 Ontario election, Stephen supported the incoming Deputy Premier and Minister of Health in establishing her new communications team and served as spokesperson for the province’s work to address the shortage of health care workers.
